Defensive driver training for all year 12 students in Rockhampton

Education & Training

Our 1-Day Program

We arrange for Safe Drive Training to deliver a 1-day awareness course aimed particularly at young and novice drivers. This course involves lectures, demonstrations, video presentations and in-car, hands-on driving experiences based on extensive research into young driver crashes. Participants learn safe driving techniques while they test-drive different cars. Click here for more information.

The theoretical training consists of an instructor working through presentations and leading student discussions. Some of the videos are graphical in places and can be confronting, but students soon realise that driving on the road is a big responsibility and their actions impact not only themselves, but friends, family and the whole community.

The feedback received from students who have completed the course is very positive and all now have a greater understanding of not only how to better handle a car but how they personally react in an emergency situation.
